7 occasions to give a printed family tree

A printed family tree starts conversations and keeps names that would otherwise be forgotten, and it makes a very personal gift. Below are seven occasions where a family tree poster fits, with the size that works best for each.

1. Weddings

Two families become one. A poster showing the ancestors of both sides will hang in the couple’s home for decades. The “Modern Clean” template in Couple mode puts both lines side by side; A2 framed fits above the sofa.

2. Golden wedding anniversary (50th)

After fifty years together, it is worth looking forward: the couple as the root, with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren above them as a descendant chart. Expect a few tears of joy.

4. Grandparent’s birthday
